School district to seek transportation alternative grant

            The St. James School District will seek a transportation alternative grant, which could see new pedestrian walkways installed from the Lucy Wortham James Elementary School to the football complex. The district has been approached by the Belle School District to partner for the grant, with the board approving the grant application during a meeting on April 10.

BOE reorganizes after April election

            The St. James Board of Education reorganized on April 10 following the April 2 election with Tim Wilson and Ben Bahr taking the oath of office. The board also elected a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer during the meeting before discussing new business.

HS senior activities set for May

            As the St. James school year nears its conclusion, there are still several activities for seniors to participate in before walking across the stage for graduation. May will be a busy month as seniors complete their final activities as St. James students.

Board hears update on cybersecurity threat

            Last month, the St. James School District was informed of a cybersecurity threat to some district data and Superintendent Tim Webster provided an update for the Board of Education during its April 10 meeting.
